Fashion Photography

Sunday Morning

This shoot is all about doing a playful take on a 'girl in her apartment' story. Casting is EVERYTHING and our model Rachel couldn't have been more perfect in portraying those vibes. As was the location. We get so much inspiration from those two elements.

Big thank you to our team:

Model - Rachel Bussey

Venice Beach Fashion Shoot | Smashing a Guitar with Angel

Excited to share some new work with our super fun team - Angel Lin at Willow Models and Tania D. Russel of Makeup Werks. This shoot includes us dragging and attempting to smash a guitar on the streets of Venice. Which turned out to be way harder than we initially thought, but a blast nonetheless. You can see all the shenanigans at the end of the post in a behind the scenes video.

Soho London with Julia

Back in Spring Milan and I had the opportunity to fly over to London for a short period. It was our first time to London and we couldn't have been more excited to go and sad to leave. We instantly fell in love with London and NEED to go back.

While out there we had a shoot with model Julia along with hair and makeup artist Chloe Campbell. For the shoot we wandered the streets of Soho, talked about how London smelled so much better than New York. WE LOVE NEW YORK, but it does smell like wee :) And how we need to get a 'Cheeky Nando's.' Sadly we missed it, but we did manage to get fish n' chips, tikka masala, full English breakfast and so much more.

Los Angeles Photographer | Olya

For Milan and I, a number of things can spark inspiration for us. Travel, lighting, music, a slice of pizza. But for this shoot the initial spark came from a dirty rundown motel with lots of character. There's nothing like authentic grime to really drive inspiration lol. But seriously the atmosphere was perfect to build our shoot with funky vintage 70s clothes and the amazing model Olya from Crawford's Model NY and makeup artist Morgan Merrill. We even broke out our Polaroid Land Camera's for a few shots and one of them made a cameo in the shoot. I think we need to name them at this point as they have a lot of personality themselves.

We love creating moody, brooding images. It's an aesthetic we come back to quite a lot, despite Milan and I being anything but that. We're quirky, silly and tell the corniest of jokes. We keep things light on set, but still manage to direct our angsty vision. It's a world of contrast and we love it. Thanks are always given to our models for not cracking-up in the middle of our shenanigans.

Brooklyn Fashion Photography | Whitney from Wilhelmina

In between business meetings and stuffing our faces with NYC food amazingness we had the opportunity to do a shoot with the crazy talented hair and makeup artist, Norah Salazar and sweet, but fierce Whitney from Wilhelmina Models

The inspiration for our Brooklyn fashion photo shoot was menswear looks for women. We shot on location in DUMBO, Brooklyn which lent itself to some classic landmarks like the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. The iconic landmarks meshed well with the menswear looks we were shooting. As a bit of contrast and bringing in the feminine side of things was Norah's gorgeous sexy, smokey makeup that Whitney rocked so well.

Along with photo we also did a short fashion film.

San Francisco Fashion Photographer | JE Model Leah

As busy photographers, it's challenging finding the time to shoot just for you. To reignite the fire. To try new things with out the fear of failing in front of a client. It's something we believe in and encourage photographers to do of any genre, not just fashion photography.

So when we came across this wild, rugged, granite, cliffside location we knew we had to shoot there. It was instantly inspiring, as was our model, Leah from JE Model. And totally worth the drive into the middle of nowhere.
